Intersections' Iraqi Voices Amplification Project (IVAP) has produced a new play by IVAP artist Kim Schultz called No Place Called Home. The play is based on interviews of Iraqi refugees living in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. This solo, multimedia show portrays an American woman’s experience with Iraqi refugees as she “accidentally” falls in love with one. This play is part of Intersections’ efforts to mobilize American support for Iraqi refugees.
No Place Called Home will open in a nomadic run throughout New York this fall, which coincides with the U.S. troop withdrawal in Iraq. Intersections is looking for partners, both individuals and organizations, who would like to learn more about this project.
