About Intersections

Intersections is a new initiative that is dedicated to building respectful relationships among diverse individuals and communities to forge common ground and to develop strategies that promote justice, reconciliation and peace. We are a multi-cultural, multi-faith, global initiative of the Collegiate Church of New York, the oldest corporation in North America, dating back to 1628.

Since September 2007, Intersections has pursued its mission by:

• Empowering Marginalized Communities
• Engaging in Interfaith Dialogue and Action
• Addressing the Consequences of Conflict at Home and Abroad

Through these initiatives and in partnership with other organizations, Intersections envisions contributing to the ongoing transformation of society through convenings, conferences, educational events, advocacy and community development.

Intersections enlisted a nationally known team of writers, theologians, video producers and web designers to develop this resource and an esteemed Advisory Board to review its content.
