Over 100 Secular And Faith-based Groups Announce Support For 9/11 Healing Project
NEW YORK, NY— Today, over 100 national and international secular and faith-based groups announced their support of the Prepare New York coalitions efforts to promote religious freedom and healing in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
Intersections International is one of six steering committee organizations of the Prepare New York initiative which includes founding partners Auburn Seminary and its Center for Multifaith Education, the Interfaith Center of New York, Odyssey Networks, Quest, and Tanenbaum and its Religion and Diversity Education Program.
Partners include organizations who agree to support the goals of the Prepare New York coalition project by carrying out some aspect of the three-pillar work: education, media and face-to-face events. Congregational partners include faith groups who will open their doors to the public on the weekend of 9/11 for prayer; offer reflection or programs that promote healing; encourage their congregants to participate in activities focused on the 9/11 anniversary; and/or host dialogues on topics relating to religious freedom.
